We escaped!
We finally got out of the house today. This was Tucker's first time out since we went to church Sunday night, and I my first time since my run to Walgreen's Monday. Matt treated us to dinner at Chili's and then a quick trip to Wal-Mart. It felt so good to get out of our pjs. It's sad when you get excited over a trip to Wal-Mart!

Ice Storm
Yuck, ice! This ice storm has taken me down memory lane a bit. During the horrible ice storm that hit McAlester in January 2007, I lost our first child. As we were hunkering down this past Monday preparing for the worst, my mind kept going back to Matt and I huddled in front of the fire knowing that we were losing the baby and there was nothing we could do to stop it. I shut myself off from much of the world that week as I battled with God why He would take away something we had wanted for so long. Little did we know that God had BIG things in store for our little family the very next month as we found that I was once again expecting.
Fast forward two years later and here we are with a 15 month old bundle of joy! Looking back on that awful time in our lives, I know that God was showing me that I needed to rely on His timing instead of doing things when and how I wanted them. Yesterday, my sister sent me a link to a blog that I was so drawn through that I read from beginning to end throughout the day. Little did Wendy know just how much I needed the words in that blog yesterday. Thanks Wend! One major quote that spoke to me most said, "And I know there'll be days when this life brings me pain, but if thats what it takes to praise You Jesus bring the rain." Wow!

It's been a rough week!
Our rough week all started a week ago yesterday. I made the decision to let Tucker skip Mother's Day Out in order to visit the children's museum in Seminole. He was a bit fussy the entire day, but I chalked it up to getting some new teeth and we had a great day. After arriving back home, Tucker was still fussy, so I put him down for an additional nap. A bit later I heard funny noises from his room, and discovered that he was breathing strangely. I also discovered that he had a pretty high temp. To make a long story short, after a scary hour, his breathing returned to normal and all was well.
My parents came for lunch on Saturday to celebrate my birthday. Then Matt's parents came to keep Tucker so that Matt and I could go out to dinner. We went to The Melting Pot in Jenks. It WAS AMAZING! After completely stuffing ourselves, we arrived home to find that Tucker was again acting like he didn't feel well. Later that night (or should I say early morning) Matt was up sick as well. So I did double duty Sunday as a single mom and made it through the day.
Both were still sick on Monday. By Tuesday, I also was sick. By yesterday we were all back to our normal routine. I'm praying that all sick bugs stay away from the Eidson house for a while!

It's been a while
Many things have happened since my last post, but I don't have much time today so I'll just hit the highlights. Tucker is now walking! He started taking steps before Christmas, but can now walk the entire length of our house and back several times. This leaves me a little more busy, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. We've taken advantage of the warmer temperatures, and have also discovered playing outside. He walks all over the yard chasing bubbles and playing on his 4-wheeler. He's really hitting a fun age.
His vocabulary is growing like crazy! He now says please pronounced "peas" when he wants a bite or juice. He is also very proud to show off his muscles!
Class starts back today, so we'll be heading to Ada in a bit to meet Wendy and the boys for a quick playdate at the new McDonalds before my afternoon class begins. More later...
